CCRG is a full-service cultural resource management (CRM) consulting firm with over 20 years of experience. We specialize in large- and small-scale CRM and historic preservation projects.

We have developed an outstanding reputation with our clients and regulatory agencies for understanding the intricacies of CRM planning, permitting and project implementation. CCRG applies this understanding through strategic negotiations with our clients, the regulatory agencies and local communities. Reaching beyond the traditional scope of cultural resource management consulting, CCRG assists our clients with streamlining their project planning and development.

CCRG provides specialized services in the areas of archaeology, historical planning, compliance and litigation support and terrestrial and marine remote sensing.

Our talented, dedicated staff of specialists is experienced in the full range of cultural resource studies, including testing and evaluation for National Register of Historic Places nominations or determinations of eligibility; data recovery to mitigate the impact of construction; preparation of cultural resource management planning documents; preparation of National Register nominations or determinations of eligibility; and other services to place clients in compliance with cultural resource legislation.

From National Register of Historic Places site evaluations, to document preparation, to assuring compliance with historical and environmental legislation, CCRG is uniquely suited to fulfill all aspects of cultural resources management.

CCRG is prequalified by Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT), Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) and Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) for: Prehistoric Archaeology, Historic Archaeology, Reconnaissance Level Survey, Intensive Level Survey and Section 106/4(f) Evaluation.


Decades of Experience and Excellence

CCRG was founded in Jackson, Michigan, in 1988. We began with the mission of assisting industry and government planning agencies in the identification and documentation of archaeological and historical resources. Subsequently incorporated in the State of Michigan in 1992, CCRG eventually established branch offices in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Minneapolis, Minnesota; and Buffalo, New York.  Since then, CCRG has been growing strong through acquisition.  In 2008, CCRG acquired Coastal Carolina Research based out of Tarboro, NC.  In 2012, CCRG acquired Sagebrush Consultants based out of Ogden, UT.  In 2014, CCRG acquired John Milner Associates (JMA) with offices in West Chester, PA, Charlottesville, VA, Alexandria, VA, and Littleton, MA.
